Keliru Dalam Dunia Kata Singkatan #2

Lalu aku bersama Adhil, Shikin dan boyfriend kepada Shikin (sorry, aku kurang ingat nama lelaki because I'm not a gay and I'm not interested with guys). Shikin yang telah kelaparan berjaya memujuk Boyfriend Tanpa Nama untuk makan di Restoran Nasi Kandar D'Kayu, Tesco Mutiara Damansara. Adhil turut bersetuju. Aku yang sangat ketandusan makanan hanya membontoti mereka bertiga.

Mamak datang ambil order, aku pilih untuk makan mee rojak, milo ais dan air suam. Mamak tanya, "Apsal you satu orang, air order sampai dua?" Aku jawab, "Kecoh la mamak ni. Ambik je la order tu, banyak tanya pulak." tapi dalam hati je la. Yang sebenarnya aku hanya jawab, "Saya haus la mamak." Mamak ambil order dan berlalu pergi menjalankan tugasnya. Perut lapar telah menggeselkan bunyi biola menyanyikan lagu Melly Goeslow - Let's Dance.

5 minit kemudian mamak datang bawa makanan. Dengan muka gembira, aku mula menyumbat mee rojak untuk memberhentikan kugiran yang sedang rancak menyanyikan lagu Melly Goeslow - Let's Dance. Adhil dan Shikin mula berborak.

Adhil: "Kau dah lama tak balik rumah, mak kau tak marah ke?"

Shikin: "Aku tengah gaduh dengan mak aku la."

Aku: "Anak derhaka!" kata aku dalam hati.

Adhil: "Jarang balik pun boleh gaduh ke?"

Shikin: "Mane ade la. Aku baru je balik last week, jaga niece aku"

Aku: "Pura-pura baik la tu!" kata aku dalam hati.

Adhil: "Ouh..Yeke?"

Shikin: "Ha'ah. Jaga niece aku. Aku bawak dia jalan-jalan."

Aku: "Padahal terpaksa," kata aku dalam hati.

Shikin: "Tapi dia kata aku KK"

Adhil: "KK? Apa tu?"

Aku: "Yeah. Apa maksud KK? Kuala Kangsar aku tau la," kata aku dalam hati.

Shikin: "KK tu Kelam-kabut."

Adhil: "Hahaha.."

Aku: "KK is kelam-kabut, what the fuck?" tanya aku dengan kuat.

Orang sekitar meja pandang kami, aku sambung makan.

People don't change. They want to. They need to.

Dr House: People don't change. They want to. They need to.

Last night I watched one of my favourite series, Dr House. In episode 12 season 4, Dr House mentioned the above words which make me think about it quite a while. For me, what Dr House said is true. I'm totally agree with him. People don't change. Maybe they want to change. Maybe they need to change. But people don't suddenly choose to change without the sudden of need to change.

Maybe it is quite hard to understand but if given a situation like below, it will be easier to understand the expressions by Dr House.

Situation 1
Shahid (not a real name) fall in love with Alyaa (not a real name). Before knowing Alyaa, Shahid was a casanova who is wooing any girls that he likes without thinking of the later consequences. But after knowing Alyaa, Shahid promise to himself that he want to change; he need to change. This is what it means by people don't suddenly change unless they have a valid and reasonable reason to change. But unfortunately, the fact that people don't change is 99.99% true, Shahid eventually start to change back and become what he was in his old days. Alyaa then will said that Shahid have changed compare to the time when they first met each other which is 100% false because of the fact that people don't change. At the later stage of their relationship, Shahid is just showing his real personality, his real life and the true of himself. That's why I said that people don't change unless they are willing to change when the right time has come.

What are you guys opinion? I leave this question for you guys to think and ponder about it.

Armageddon

Last night, I watched Armageddon on TV3 at 12.30 a.m. This film which was released back in 1998 is an Academy Award-nominated disaster/science fiction film about a group of blue-collar deep-core drillers who are sent by NASA to deflect an asteroid with the size of Texas from collide on Earth.

It stars Bruce Willis (Harry Stamper), Billy Bob Thornton (Dan Truman), Ben Affleck (A.J. Frost) and Liv Tyler (Grace Stamper). The film's tagline is "For Love. For Honor. For Mankind."

I like watching this movie because it is full of excitement and it plays with the audience emotions where humor, happiness, sadness, tragic and romance are all well-combined and makes this film among the best film for all the time.

Besides its international box office success, this film still received a large amount of criticism from film reviewers. This film is describes by Roger Ebert's who is a Pulitzer Prize-winning American film critic and screenwriter as an assault on the eyes, the ears, the brain, common sense and the human desire to be entertained because of its scientific inaccuracies.

Anyway, I still give this film two “thumbs up”!
