Armageddon

Last night, I watched Armageddon on TV3 at 12.30 a.m. This film which was released back in 1998 is an Academy Award-nominated disaster/science fiction film about a group of blue-collar deep-core drillers who are sent by NASA to deflect an asteroid with the size of Texas from collide on Earth.

It stars Bruce Willis (Harry Stamper), Billy Bob Thornton (Dan Truman), Ben Affleck (A.J. Frost) and Liv Tyler (Grace Stamper). The film's tagline is "For Love. For Honor. For Mankind."

I like watching this movie because it is full of excitement and it plays with the audience emotions where humor, happiness, sadness, tragic and romance are all well-combined and makes this film among the best film for all the time.

Besides its international box office success, this film still received a large amount of criticism from film reviewers. This film is describes by Roger Ebert's who is a Pulitzer Prize-winning American film critic and screenwriter as an assault on the eyes, the ears, the brain, common sense and the human desire to be entertained because of its scientific inaccuracies.

Anyway, I still give this film two “thumbs up”!
